About the Role
<p><strong>Lab Summary:&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Samsung strives to offer superior digital health products on our wearables and phones, backed by world-class research, technical, and manufacturing capabilities. As a cross-disciplinary health-focused product development team consisting of research, technology, design, strategy and product functions, we define the next generation of mobile health product and service experiences for Samsung devices.</p> <p><strong>Position Summary:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are looking for a Ph.D. candidate or recent Ph.D. graduate with a strong background in biological signal processing, machine learning, and data analytics. By leveraging data collected by Samsung consumer wearable devices, the candidate will be able to assess and develop product ready solutions to tackle detection and monitoring of life-altering diseases.</p> <p><strong>Position Responsibilities:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Work with innovative R&amp;D team to assess and develop impactful health products.</li> <li>Organize large clinical databases for solutions development and validation efforts.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>PhD. candidate or recent graduate in a relevant Science or Engineering field, such as Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science.</li> <li>Strong background in biological signal processing, machine learning/deep learning, and data analytics/visualization. Prior experience with wearable technology is a plus!</li> <li>Ability to use a data analysis tool or programming language such as MATLAB, R, or Python.</li> <li>Working understanding of statistics.</li> <li>Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently.</li> </ul><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description">Our total rewards programs are designed to motivate and engage exceptional talent.
