Job Location: AEI - Chadds Ford - [7CFD] - Chadds Ford, PA 19317

Primary Responsibility: The Mechanical Design Intern will involve developing an overall understanding of the engineering process and the typical daily responsibilities associated with a career as consulting engineer. 
Essential Functions: 

•    Develop an understanding of the typical engineering process.
•    Develop an understanding of submittal components and their various requirements.
•    Support field surveys.
•    Develop an understanding of how to perform calculations.
•    Must possess effective written and oral communication skills
•    Experience using computer-aided engineering systems.
•    Ability to write a well-organized report describing the technical work performed.

Secondary Functions: 

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Education/Experience Minimum: Currently enrolled in Engineering at an accredited university, preferably a junior level status. 
Needed Skills: 

•    A minimum of two years of engineering courses.
•    Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
•    Ability to work independently when needed.
•    Ability to find work to do when needed .
