About the Role

Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sustainability Intern to support our organization’s environmental, social responsibility, and governance initiatives. This role will assist in implementing sustainability programs, conducting research, and supporting reporting efforts that help reduce our environmental footprint and enhance social impact.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in research and development of sustainability strategies related to product lifecycle (sourcing, production, distribution, end-of-life).
  • Support cross-functional teams in integrating sustainable practices into business operations, supply chain, and HR initiatives.
  • Help gather and analyze environmental performance data (e.g., carbon emissions, energy use, waste reduction).
  • Contribute to sustainability reporting efforts (e.g., GRI, SASB, CDP, UN SDG disclosures).
  • Assist in preparing presentations and reports for internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Research best practices and emerging trends in sustainability, environmental regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Support initiatives to enhance recycling practices and customer awareness campaigns.
  • Help manage sustainability certifications and partnerships (e.g., EcoVadis, B Corp, ISO).
  • Participate in stakeholder engagement activities, including employee and community programs.


Requirements

Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong interest in sustainability, environmental stewardship, and social impact.
  • Basic understanding of sustainability concepts and frameworks (knowledge of GRI, SASB, UN SDGs is a plus).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
