About the Role

Position Summary:

Supports Engineering in the debugging, testing and validation of new product developments and enhancements to existing product.  The candidate will design, develop and test equipment.  Evaluate and test products. Candidate will also be tasked with researching and creating a hardware design that will help aid in the development of future products. Candidate will also be mentored by an engineer that can help guide him through the internship.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):

  • Read technical documents, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings or engineering instructions.

  • Able to use oscilloscope to probe signals on complex PCB layout designs.

  • Assemble products for various purposes, coordinate requisitioning of required parts.

  • Assist in product design of valve monitoring devices.

  • Build and set up test equipment and prototype units

  • Prepare and conduct experiments, recording results.

  • Use electrical and mechanical lab equipment (signal generators, counters, air supply, etc.)

  • Follow all safety procedures

  • Performs other duties as required.

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

  • In progress towards Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science

  • Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.

  • Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, logic analyzers, debuggers and/or emulation tools

  • Experience in bread boarding and soldering of printed circuit boards a plus

  • Strong written and verbal skills, able to professionally interact with suppliers, customers, and shop floor personnel.

  • Strong Engineering math and calculation skills.

Salary range: $23.00/hour. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Compensation packages also include comprehensive benefits, 401K contribution and match, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement and more. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus programs.
