Daikin Applied is now hiring for an Engineering Intern in Atlanta, GA!

Daikin Applied is a global leader in providing innovative HVAC solutions for commercial and industrial applications. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Co-op to join our dynamic Engineering team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of engineering within a leading organization. Location: Marietta, GA in office 5 days per week

Timeline: This Internship opportunity is for Summer 2026 plus two full-time semester rotations.

What you will do:

  • Responsible for overall customer satisfaction by ensuring what was sold is communicated and fulfilled

  • Serves as the liaison between the customer, sales team, and Daikin factories

  • Visit job sites with Field Sales Engineers and Daikin Technicians to inspect Daikin HVAC equipment

  • Assist Field Sales Engineers with HVAC equipment selection that will be used in the design process

  • Determine project timelines, ship dates, and project costs

  • Troubleshoot customer requests and changes to the initial project scope of work

  • Assist the sales team with technical expertise in the selection/application of standard or modified products

  • Create professional sales proposals and submittals from RFP/RFI from clients for Daikin Applied

  • Provide prompt, accurate responses to sales inquiries regarding special applications, systems, or pricing (Daikin Tools Quotations)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Sophomore or Junior currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related

  • Experience in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)

  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

  • Ability to commute to Atlanta Office without relocation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Engineering internship experience

  • Experience with Solidworks or related CAD software

  • Successfully completed Thermo-dynamics I, and Fluid Mechanics for Mechanical Engineering majors or similar coursework for Electrical or Aerospace Engineering majors

The typical hourly pay rate for this position is $24/hr. This represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
