About the Role

At Enza Zaden, you’ll be part of a dynamic and supportive environment where your ideas and energy contribute to our mission of feeding the world. As an intern in our R&D department, you will gain valuable hands-on experience to commercial vegetable breeding activities, enhance company visibility to plant science students, and hopefully contribute to developing future talent in the seed industry.

Make a difference as Intern

You will work closely with our research & development team and be involved in activities such as:

  • Inventory management for the tomato genebank;
  • Assisting in the implementation of new global genebank standards;
  • Supporting Tomato Trials for Sauk and Lojing area;
  • Data and basic IT support;
  • Support for two ongoing experimental projects;
  • General company exposure and professional development for the intern;

What you bring as a future colleague 

You are energetic, communicative, and passionate about agriculture. You enjoy being in the field, building relationships, and turning insights into action. You’re proactive, organized, and thrive in a role that combines technical knowledge with commercial drive. 

In short, you: 

  • A candidate that possesses an associate degree or higher in Biotech/Biochemistry, Plant Science, Agriculture, or any STEM-related field;
  • are skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship building; 
  • Student who is results oriented;
  • must be able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Melayu and English;
  • have strong communication and coordination skills; 
  • are comfortable working independently and managing multiple responsibilities; 
  • are based in or willing to travel to Sauk, Kuala Kangsar;
  • Internship allowance is provided;
  • looking for a student intake for the year 2026;
