Wellington Management invites Polytechnic undergraduates to apply for a Client Group internship opportunity with us!

We are looking to hire intern(s) with a passion for learning about the global capital markets. Those whom benefit most from our internship would require interest in the business of investment management, a desire to work in a team-based and collaborative environment, and an analytical/problem-solving orientation are required.

The Client Group intern will work closely with the business team on a portfolio of Wealth relationships. The intern will support in the core aspects of business development, relationship management, and client servicing, including:

  • Prospecting support – coordinating aspects of the sales lifecycle, such as RFP coordination and pitch material coordination.

  • Client/prospect meeting life cycle – coordination and preparation for meetings – materials, briefing notes, and follow ups.

  • Support the team to respond to client/prospects inquiries on a wide range of topics (product, portfolio, market/investment content related, servicing, etc.).

  • Build their internal network relationships and manage internal stakeholders for effective collaboration.

 

Responsibilities working with the Client Group teams include, but are not limited to:

  • Entering and monitoring client activities in Salesforce

  • Producing and updating pitch books and other marketing material

  • Execute and project-manage marketing initiatives and jobs (fund marketing collaterals, videos and other content deliverables and social media programs etc) 

  • Supporting external client seminars and other events (logistics, materials, facilitation and analytics, etc.)

  • Maintaining internal client databases and tracking internal business metrics

  • Responding to routine RFI requests

  • Preparing client reports, marketing materials

  • Supporting the RM/RA in handling routine client queries on operational issues

  • Other tasks and projects as assigned by the team 

The successful candidate should be organized and have strong attention to details; strong multi-tasking and time management skills; able to deliver at a high capacity to improve productivity and efficiency; is a self-starter and able to work independently; mature and strong professionalism.

Candidates should possess a demonstrable track record of achievement, capacity for differentiated thinking, strong work ethic, and the willingness to work with others. Strong communication skills are highly advantageous.
