About The Company
Butte Home Health & Hospice was founded in 1985 in Chico, California. We are a State-Licensed, Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency; Non-Profit and Community Owned. In 1987, our Hospice became the first free-standing, non-profit, Medicare-Certified Hospice in Northern California and has grown to serve 7 Counties including: Butte, Colusa, Glenn, Sutter, Tehama, and Yuba Counties. Today, our Home Care and Hospice Programs continue to be on the cutting edge of new methods and approaches to the care of patients and their families. We are members of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), the California State Hospice Association, the National Association for Home Care (NAHC), and the California Association for Health Services at Home. Thank you for taking the time to apply for an internship here at Butte Home Health & Hospice.  We hope you find your experience rewarding and gain insight to the geriatric care available in our community.  We are a free standing, non profit Home Health and Hospice serving Butte, Tehama and Glenn County.  Our Interns are typically provided a sponsor who will help to assign projects and day to day learning opportunities and tasks.  We have multiple departments that provide different experiences.  Our previous interns would attest this is an extremely hands on internship with flexibility and many opportunities to learn and dive in!
