About the Role
This position is based at our Edmonton, AB facility. The hourly range for this role is $20-$25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Responsible for ensuring material availability, managing inventory levels, supporting production schedules, and driving cost reduction initiatives. A. Material Planning Create and adjust material orders to align with stocking policies and Master Schedule Plan. Review, maintain, and approve buy queue/MPS. Utilize Kanban processes to ensure material flow and reduce cycle time. Communicate material requirements and forecasts with relevant stakeholders Analyze and reschedule purchase orders to maintain material availability and control inventory levels. Prepare cost analysis reports and identify opportunities for savings. Must have recently graduated or be currently enrolled in a college diploma or university degree program with a specialization in Business or Materials Management. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship. Candidates must reside within 120km of Edmonton, AB to be considered. Experience of working in design-for-manufacturing or an Engineered-to-Order environment Experience with Lean and Six Sigma Tools, Six Sigma Green, or Black belt Position Criteria: Strong knowledge of purchasing techniques and supplier management. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (including Excel and Access). Strong proficiency using MRP software, Oracle knowledge is an asset. Strong technical aptitude of electrical distribution and control systems. Effective time management, prioritization, and project management skills.
