Only students currently enrolled at a university and able to provide an internship agreement will be considered.

Internship description :

The Production Intern will aid in the implementation of continuous improvement solutions and HAPS (Haleon Performance System) tools, in order to support the site strategy and improve performance in Safety, Quality, Service, and Cost.

Several topics are possible (non-exhaustive):

  • Unplanned stops reduction (OEE)
  • Modeling the kinematics of carton opening and forming
  • Modeling machine acceptance tolerances to compare with supplier specifications and deliveries
  • Create a dynamic setting system defined according to available packaging components
  • Primary and secondary tooling optimization
  • Optimization through AI
  • Cmk analysis – filling capability (implementation of transverse pressurized hopper)
  • Waste reduction

Project’s course of action:

1. Establish a basic knowledge of the system & processes and understand how it all works together

2. Define the underlying problem on hand

3. Measure the impact of the problem

4. Analyze the problem’s possible solutions and limitations

5. Implement the designed solutions

6. Control the results of the implemented solutions

Required profile:

  • Since these projects will take place on the shop floor (operational level), we are looking for motivated students who have hands-on experience and can implement concrete solutions. Moreover, the candidate must be a good team player, have strong communication skills, and a keen interest in the production process.

  • Lean Manufacturing, 5S… skills

  • Quality tools (5 Why, Ishikawa…)

  • Project management skills

  • Python, Power BI, Solidworks, Anylogic…

  • Agility: Capable of working on multiple projects at one time

  • Looking for a 6‑month internship while being enrolled at university.
