About the Role

Join TomTom as a Data Engineer Intern and play a key role in shaping the future of electric vehicle navigation. This internship offers an exciting opportunity for master’s students passionate about data engineering, providing hands-on experience in building and optimizing data solutions that power next-generation navigation systems.

As part of our Data Engineering & MLOps team, you’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, Machine Learning specialists, and cross-functional teams to bring innovative ideas to life. Your work will directly impact how millions of drivers experience smarter, greener journeys.

What you'll do
  • Analyze real-world car data to uncover insights and improve navigation experiences.
  • Enhance and maintain data pipelines using Databricks and Delta Lake.
  • Implement robust data quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop data metrics and dashboards for monitoring and decision-making.
  • Research and review stored data to provide compliance recommendations.


What you'll need
  • Enrolment in a Master’s program in Computer ScienceData Engineering, or Data Science.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and a solid understanding of Machine Learning fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Delta Lake.
  • Interest in automotive technology and electric vehicle navigation.
  • Analytical mindset with enthusiasm for solving complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and a collaborative attitude.
  • Familiarity with CI/CDAzure, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
