About the Role

Job Description:

Real Estate Property Management Intern 

Are you interested in learning more about residential and commercial property management? Self-Help Credit Unions provide banking services such as checking and savings accounts. We also have a portfolio of affordable residential housing units and various commercial properties for small businesses.  

Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Property Administrator supports the property management team in effective management and lease administration activities for Self-Help owned and managed commercial and residential real estate properties. This includes responsibilities for customer service to internal and external parties, property management systems support, lease administration, document management and Real Estate team support. The focus of this position is on the use and management of the various systems used by the property management team in the day-to-day operations of the buildings and communication with our tenants. 

What You’ll Do: 

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT/MAINTENANCE 
• Support property management team with tenant work requests; responding to tenant 
work request via email or the workorder system, regularly review work order reports, 
check on status of requests with Maintenance team and track work to completion. Assist 
tenants with setting up access to work order portal. 


LEASE ADMINISTRATION 
• Assist property management with lease abstracts and lease management to ensure 
property management system is current and accurate. This includes collection and 
tracking of Certificates of insurance, commencement dates agreements and ensuring all 
lease related documents are received in a timely manner and properly filed and named. 


ADMINISTRATIVE/OTHER 
• Assist with and maintain document management of all commercial real estate related 
documents, including but not limited to leases, lease amendments, estoppels, SNDA’s, 
• Act as a change agent to drive Self-Help’s economic inclusion initiatives by integrating 
supplier diversity into our vendor management process
