About the Role

The Role

As an Information Technology Intern, you will play a key role in improving traceability and automation processes within our manufacturing systems. Your main focus will be on increasing the percentage of unique code readings and uploads for aftermarket and Optima batteries in the MFG system. This initiative is critical to prevent automatic warranty replacements due to missing unique codes, reducing operational costs and improving customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)

  • Drive improvements in unique code reading and uploading processes for all aftermarket and Optima batteries.
  • Collaborate with IT and manufacturing teams to ensure accurate data integration into the ERP system.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions for the process (80% of your time will be dedicated to this project).
  • Support IT-related activities and tasks as needed (20% of your time).

  • Increased percentage of batteries with unique codes successfully read and uploaded into the MFG system.
  • Significant reduction in warranty-related costs caused by missing traceability.
  • Automated workflows that streamline data capture and integration.
  • Strong collaboration between IT and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless execution.
