About the Role

Guided by the agency's mission "To reduce recidivism among those we touch," the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is looking for a dedicated security minded professional to assume the responsibilities of a:

Parole Officer College Intern in the Dayton Region.   Headquarter county will be determined based on selected candidate.

Intern rates:  Undergraduate Student:  $16.93

THIS IS A TEMPORARY UNCLASSIFIED, PART-TIME, POSITION WITH A RANGE OF 10-30 HOURS PER WEEK.  THE LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT WILL VARY, BUT WILL NOT EXCEED SIX (6) MONTHS.  This position involves various duties that permit exposure to the student’s field of study &/or provide experience that is a useful addition to the student’s education & meaningful preparation for future professional employment.

•        ORAS assessment
•        Arrest procedure
•        Violation hearings
•        Body cam review
•        Trainings
•        Policy Review
•        Report Writing
•        Observations amongst PO and supervisees



Must be enrolled in their senior year of college (accredited college or university) within a field-related study and in good academic standing.   You will be required to produce official documentation from your college, if selected.   Experience working with Microsoft Office.
