Description

We are recruiting students for our 2026 summer term intern program. These internships are paid and run full-time from May 18 through July 31, 2026. We are explicitly looking for undergraduate or graduate-level students actively enrolled in an accredited college program of Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Technology & Industrial Distribution, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. This role will work collaboratively daily with our Mechanical Engineering, Tool and Die, and Manufacturing departments.


The internship assignments are designed to provide the students with real-life work experience and training in the day-to-day activities of a manufacturing facility. Our internships are part of our recruiting strategy to attract and retain highly qualified talent.

 

This position is Safety Sensitive.

 

This internship does not include assistance with housing or transportation.

Qualifications


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Work on assigned projects with the close supervision of a mentor/supervisor team member.
  • Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
  • Develop testing processes and perform testing and validation of new designs.
  • Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.
  • Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
  • Create and review technical drawings, plans, and specifications using computer software.

 

Education Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in undergraduate (entering junior or senior year) or graduate level students actively enrolled in an accredited college program of Aerospace Engineering, Aerospace Technology & Industrial Distribution, Biosystems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of a 3.0 GPA.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to work well with others and meet deadlines and goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • SolidWorks experience in designing and drafting assembly fixtures and equipment.
  • Knowledge of drafting principles, GD&T, and a general understanding of design for the manufacturing process.
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and self-starter.
