Internship Program:
A Grace Church Internship is for those who have completed one year of college or its equivalent. Within a specific area of ministry, interns will be given ministry responsibilities, receive weekly coaching and mentorship from their supervisor, and leadership and spiritual development from the Senior Pastor and others. This internship is an unpaid/volunteer opportunity. Great experience for your resume or for qualified college credit!
- Program Dates: Late May – Early August
- Weekly Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM; 3 Flex hours/ and Ministry Special Events
Job Summary
Grace Kids believes in the importance of raising up our next generation to be passionate and on fire for Jesus and that starts in Grace Kids. In this role, you will get a well-rounded view of all of Grace Kids from Nursery, to Junior, to Elementary. You will see how campus support operates in a multi-campus church, be hands-on during our services, help with our Summer Break Out program, and have the option to help write curriculum. If you’re excited about seeing kids and families grow in their relationships with Christ and with each other, then this is the internship for you! We will be hiring an intern at each of our three of our campuses.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Rotate weekends between each division in Grace Kids, initially shadowing but eventually leading storytelling
- Help facilitate Summer Break Out and other ministry special events
- Plan and lead a project
- Attend and help to facilitate volunteer meetings
- Understand the heart and why of Grace Kids and what drives our decisions and programming
- Obtain knowledge of a multisite campus and how collaboration plays a big role
- Learn how to recruit, train, and schedule volunteers
- Understand how Grace Special Needs is integrated with Grace Kids experience
Qualifications
Skills/Experience:
- Volunteer experience in Kids Ministry
- High School Diploma and at least one year of college or its equivalent
- Experience and passion for church and the community
- Motivated to learn and lead
- Great relational skills: full of faith, friendly, calm, and professional
- Exhibit a heart of passion, humility, and integrity
- Good organizational and administrative skills
- Skilled in researching and finding requested information

- Ensure good stewardship of ministry funds and resources
- Act as a positive representative of Grace Church at all times
