As a Summer Audit Intern, you’ll gain 10 weeks of hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting and tax assignments while working side-by-side with experienced audit professionals. This role gives you the opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world client work, strengthen your technical skills, and learn how to manage projects within deadlines. Your contributions will be valued not only for accuracy and quality but also for the fresh perspective you bring as you grow into a future accounting professional.

 

What you will learn:

  • How to apply your skills in practice by reconciling client records, preparing schedules (prepaids, accruals, property, depreciation), and helping draft financial statements using our firm’s software.

  • Gain technical experience with leading audit and tax software—learning how trial balances flow through to financial statements and tax returns.

  • Work directly with clients, gathering information and communicating effectively to keep projects on track with minimal disruption to their business.

  • Think beyond the numbers by identifying ways to strengthen client systems and processes, and by contributing ideas during engagement planning.

  • Build a strong foundation in accounting standards, including guidance from FASB, AICPA, GAO, OMB, and GASB, while applying the firm’s proven audit methodology.

  • Expand your knowledge through professional development—attending in-house trainings, industry sessions, and sponsored learning opportunities.

  • Collaborate and grow by assisting on a variety of accounting, audit, tax, and consulting engagements under the guidance of experienced professionals.

  • Represent the firm with professionalism, maintaining a positive attitude in client interactions and public settings and work on developing your professional brand 

What we look for


Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s degree program in accounting

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • An up to date transcript and completion of Intermediate accounting I

  • Solid understanding of accounting principles

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation during work hours
