Job Description

Work Arrangement:
Hybrid: This internship is categorized as hybrid. The selected intern is expected to report to the office up to three times per week or as determined by the team.

About the Team:
The ADAS Core Software Team plays a pivotal role in the software development of AV/ADAS systems at General Motors. This team is responsible for delivering integrated and tested software for various GM features, including Super Cruise, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centering, Front and Rear Impact Mitigation, Lane Keep Assist and others.
About The Role:
This role will be working on software for GM ADAS Core Software team. Areas of focus may include implementing, testing, and/or integration.
What You’ll Do:
Architect, design, implement, integrate and test robust embedded software solutions for ADAS systems. This includes the following
Write and maintain code in C, C++ or Kotlin/Java
Analyze and improve reliability and efficiency.
Create and maintain technical documentation
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
Required Qualification:
Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree-seeking program and in the process of obtaining a Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or a related field.
Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Embedded software experience/knowledge
Software Product Line experience/knowledge
Matlab/Simulink experience/knowledge
C or Kotlin/Java software skills.
Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship.
Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
Compensation:
The monthly salary range for this role is $7,300-7,800 per month
GM will provide a one-time lump sum taxable stipend payment to eligible students selected for the 2026 Student Program.
