About the Role

Internship will start ASAP and it is not a summer or seasonal internship beginning later in the year.

The Training Support Intern supports the Agency’s Training Department in delivering effective onboarding, skills training, and professional development initiatives. This role assists with creating engaging training materials, tracking completion, and maintaining accurate records in the Relias online training system. The intern will gain hands-on experience in adult learning principles, training coordination, and quality improvement processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Supports and promotes the mission of the Agency: Foothill Family empowers children and families on their journey to achieve personal success.
  • Assists in reviewing, updating, and organizing training materials and training videos within Relias LMS for New Hire Training Plans.
  • Meets with internal teams to gather feedback and discuss training needs for new hire onboarding with support from the Training Manager.
  • Ensures updated content reflects current policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Tests and troubleshoots updated courses and videos in the LMS to confirm functionality and user experience.
  • Supports development and editing of eLearning courses and videos using Adobe Captivate and Camtasia.
  • Collects and organizes training evaluation data to support continuous improvement.
  • Provides services relating to the administration of public funds or benefits, including eligibility for public funds or public benefits.
  • Displays sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomics characteristics. 
  • Performs work in a safe manner at all times and ensures employees are abiding by safety practices; takes action when employees put themselves or others at risk.
  • Follows all policies, procedures and legal mandates including HIPAA, client confidentiality, releases of information, protected health information (PHI) and client files.
  •  Ensures performance and behaviors support the Agency’s performance quality improvement (PQI) goals and objectives. 
  • Reports to work on time and maintains reliable and regular attendance. •
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Psychology, Communications, Education, Instructional Design, or related field OR completed an Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Interest in adult-learning and training development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
