Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Intern to support a wide range of Human Resources activities. In this role, you will work closely with the Area HR Manager and gain hands-on experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance, and HR administration. This internship offers exposure to the full employee lifecycle and an opportunity to build strong foundational HR skills. Reporting to Regional HR Manager
Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding Support
- Assist with job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
- Coordinate onboarding activities including document collection, orientation scheduling, and system setup.
Employee Records Management
- Maintain and update employee files and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Ensure compliance with data protection requirements and company policies.
HR Transactions & Documentation
- Prepare offer letters and various HR documents.
- Support employee lifecycle changes such as promotions, transfers, and terminations.
Administrative Support
- Provide general administrative assistance including calendar management, meeting coordination, and filing.
- Support HR events, training sessions, and employee engagement initiatives.
Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with monitoring HR compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
- Generate reports and metrics for audits and HR reviews.
- Partner with Logistics Management to track DOT compliance for CDL drivers.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (official transcript required).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Compensation
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour non-exempt
