Collaborating with the team members with diverse backgrounds, you will work hands-on in developing the novel molecular diagnostic applications at point-of-care.</span></p><p><br /><span>This internship position is located in </span> <b><span>Pleasanton</span></b><span><b>, on-site.</b></span></p><p><br /><b><span>The Opportunity</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Contribute to the advancement of a next-generation point-of-care diagnostic platform.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Support development and integration of core assay and workflow components.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive platform performance.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Perform data analysis, generate reports, and present laboratory results to local and project teams.</span></p></li></ul><p><span>​</span></p><p><b><span>Program Highlights</span></b></p><ul><li><p><b><span>Intensive 12-week, full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>Program start dates are in May/June 2026.</span></b></p></li><li><p><b><span>A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship.</span></b></p></li><li><p><span>Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.</span></p></li></ul><p><br /><b><span>Who You Are</span></b></p><p><br /><b><span>Required Education</span> </b><br />You meet one of the following criteria:</p><ul><li><p><span>Must be pursuing a PhD</span> (enrolled student).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Required majors:</b> Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related field.</span></p><p><br /><b><span>Required skills</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Foundational knowledge in molecular biology or diagnostic assay development.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Proficiency with laboratory techniques and standard workplace software.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Quick learner with the ability to apply new techniques in a practical setting.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with team members.</span></p></li></ul><p><br /><b><span>Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications</span></b></p><ul><li><p><span>Proficiency with molecular biology techniques, including PCR, qPCR, and CRISPR-based reactions.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Hands-on experience with point-of-care or in vitro diagnostic (IVD) assays.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Knowledge of nucleic acid sample preparation and enrichment strategies.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to experimental detail.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.</span></p></li><li><p><span>Alignment with team culture and values, including integrity, curiosity, and initiative.</span></p></li></ul><p><span>​</span></p><p><b><b>Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. </b></b></p><p></p><p><span>The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of  California </span><span>is </span><span><b>$46.00 per hour.</b>  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
