QAD ERP Intern

Location: Taylor, MI

Job Type: Internship (Part-Time, ~20 hours/week)

Duration: 3–6 months, with potential extension and option for full-time hire after graduation

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated QAD ERP Intern to join our ERP implementation and operations team. This internship offers students or recent graduates in IT, industrial engineering, supply chain, or business administration the opportunity to gain hands-on ERP and process experience in a manufacturing environment.

You will support critical ERP activities including master data management, system setup, cross-functional coordination, and project management tasks. This role is ideal for candidates eager to learn, adapt, and contribute to ERP transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Support

- Create, cleanse, validate, and maintain master data (customers, vendors, BOMs, routings, item masters, pricing).
- Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Support data migration efforts during QAD rollouts or system updates.
- Work with business users to collect, validate, and upload master data.

System Setup & Configuration

- Assist in configuring QAD ERP modules (Manufacturing, Inventory, Purchasing, Finance).
- Support user profile creation, access, and role-based permissions.
- Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), issue tracking, and test execution.
- Document system processes, workflows, and user guidelines including training materials.

Internal Coordination

- Act as a liaison between IT, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Coordinate meeting notes, task follow-ups, and status updates.
- Assist with scheduling ERP training sessions and workshops.

Program Management Support

- Help track deliverables, timelines, and milestones for ERP-related projects.
- Maintain project documentation, status reports, and risk registers.
- Prepare presentations and dashboards for management reviews.

Qualifications


Desired Qualifications

- Education: Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management.
- ERP Knowledge: QAD ERP experience preferred; exposure to SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems accepted.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); database knowledge; SQL is a plus.
- Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail with comfort handling large data sets.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
- Organization: Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Work Eligibility: Authorized to work locally; available for 20 hours/week.
