Location:
London, GBLondon 2026 Summer Internships are here…
Over the past three years, we’ve welcomed cohorts of 10 talented Summer Interns to our London offices and we’re excited to invite a new group of rising talent to join us for our 2026 programme.
If you're driven, enthusiastic and passionate about our brands, then our Summer Internships could be the perfect opportunity for you - you can see what our previous cohorts got up to during their internships at Condé Nast Careers.
About the internship:
During this paid internship, you will get first-hand work experience, mentoring from employees in your selected field, as well as the chance to contribute and make a real impact.
We thrive on nurturing future talent and we want you to be part of that journey, which means you don’t need to have tons of experience, just the right attitude and determination.
To be eligible, you must be:
- Over 18 and have the legal right to work in the UK
- Going into your final year of undergraduate studies in Autumn 2026
- Able to come to our London office Monday - Friday for 10 weeks
- Available from 8th June to 14th August 2026
Important information you need to know:
- Applications close on 2nd January 2026 at midnight.
- Only applications submitted via our careers portal will be considered.
- Along with your CV, please attach a Cover Letter and if applicable, your portfolio.
- Ensure all application questions are fully answered - Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Due to the volume of applications we receive, we cannot accept submissions after the listed deadline of 2 January. We know it’s tempting, but please don’t leave it to the last minute - give yourself plenty of time to upload and submit your application to avoid disappointment!
The use of AI
At Condé Nast, original ideas and storytelling sit at the core of our work. Our audiences trust us to deliver quality content that is accurate, fair and distinctive. For this reason, Condé Nast teams do not rely on AI tools to create ideas and content.
AI can be a useful support tool, but your ideas and opinions must still be your own. We want your application to reflect your individual thinking. Generic AI-generated answers are easy for us to recognise and don’t show your actual abilities. Please ensure your submission reflects your own authentic ideas, knowledge and experiences.
Recruitment process:
Next Steps: If your application progresses to the next stage, you will hear from us by February.
Video Task: Successful candidates will receive a simple video task, which must be completed within 24 hours. The task will involve recording a short video of yourself answering set questions, which will help us in the shortlisting process.
Outcome Notification: If you do not hear from us by March unfortunately, your application has not been successful. Regrettably, we are unable to provide individual feedback.
We want you to have a great experience, so if you require any assistance or adjustments, please do let us know.

About the UX Research Internship
The UX Research team at Condé Nast works across all of our global brands (including Vogue, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller, Wired, The New Yorker, and more) to understand what our audiences need, value and experience when using our products. We help shape product strategy by bringing the voice of the user into every stage of design and development, from early discovery research through to testing and optimisation.
This is a hands-on internship where you’ll gain exposure to real projects, contribute directly to research activities and learn how research is conducted in a fast-paced media and technology environment. The UX team will support you as you build foundational research skills and confidence.
About the UX Team
Our small UX Research team sits within the wider Product, Design, and Technology organisation. The UX intern will work closely with UX Researchers, Product Designers and Product Managers.
You’ll have regular check-ins with a dedicated mentor (Associate UX Researcher / Senior UX Researcher or Lead Researcher), and also have opportunities to shadow each researcher across different pillars, attend team meetings, and learn how insight feeds into real product decisions.
What will you be doing?
You will support research that helps Condé Nast understand how people use our digital products today and what future audiences, including Gen Z, will expect from us tomorrow. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to projects focused on improving overall site experience, exploring emerging user needs and helping future-proof our products in an increasingly AI-driven landscape.
You will also assist with studies that look at what users value, how they engage with content, and how we can create experiences that feel intuitive, high-quality, and user-centred.
Over the 10-week programme, you will have the opportunity to support meaningful research activities, including:
- Supporting UX Researchers with planning and running usability tests and concept evaluations.
- Helping prepare research materials such as discussion guides, surveys, and participant screeners.
- Observing live research sessions and taking structured notes.
- Assisting in analysing user feedback, interviews, and usability findings.
- Helping synthesise insights into clear, accessible summaries for the wider team.
- Learning how to use research platforms such as UserTesting.com, Dovetail, and internal data and analytics tools.
- Participating in cross-functional meetings with design, product, and content teams
- Contributing to research operations tasks that keep insights organised and accessible.
- Shadowing researchers working on high-impact programmes across areas such as content experience, audience behaviour, habit formation, and commerce.
A typical day may include:
Joining a researcher for a morning usability session, taking notes, tagging insights in Dovetail, attending a design meeting or team stand-up, and assisting with materials for an upcoming study. You will also have dedicated time each week to learn new tools, methods, and foundational research skills with support from your mentor.
Skills you will develop:
User interview techniques.
Usability testing and evaluation.
Note-taking, synthesis, and insight summarising.
Framing research questions and understanding research goals.
Understanding qualitative and quantitative methods.
Research operations and documentation.
Communicating findings to non-researchers.
Working with cross-functional teams in a real product environment.
Confidence using industry-standard research tools and platforms.
You’ll finish the internship with practical experience, a deeper understanding of UX research, and examples of work you can talk about in future job applications.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Curious about people, behaviour, and how products are shaped by research.
- Comfortable navigating the unknown and able to adapt when things are ambiguous or evolving.
- A strong communicator who enjoys listening, learning, and asking thoughtful questions.
- Organised and reliable, with good attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a team and open to feedback.
- Eager to develop new skills and try unfamiliar methods or tools.
- Interested in digital experiences, media, design, or technology.
- Enthusiasm for storytelling, culture, and how media shapes people’s lives.
- Curiosity about how digital products are built and how users experience them.
- An interest in how AI is shaping future digital experiences.
- Enjoying both creative exploration and analytical problem-solving.
- An interest in fashion, beauty, travel, technology, or journalism given our brands and industry.
- A desire to understand audiences across different generations, including Gen Z.
No specific degree is required, though studies in psychology, sociology, anthropology, human-computer interaction, design, media, or other humanities or behavioural sciences may be helpful.
We welcome applicants from any discipline who are interested in how people think, behave, and interact with digital experiences.
