Equans Solar and Storage, a subsidiary of Equans, part of the Bouygues Group, is looking for its future: SCADA Engineer Intern

What you’ll be leading

  • You’ll report to the SCADA Coordinator, who will provide guidance and oversight as you develop your skills. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team in a supportive environment that values learning, teamwork, and initiative.
  • As an intern SCADA Engineer, you will gain practical experience in the design and implementation of SCADA and power plant control systems.
  • You will assist the SCADA Coordinator with system design, project coordination, implementation and process development.
  • You will work on projects based in the United Kingdom, with possible occasional involvement in other geographies such as the Dominican Republic, Australia, and the Nordic countries. This transverse position will give you broad exposure to all aspects of project delivery, from design to operations, offering a view of how the new technologies drives renewable energy integration.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to technical studies needed for supplier consultation and design development (concept to detailed design);
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of SCADA processes, templates, and technical specifications to be issued to suppliers;
  • Review supplier documentation (drawings, technical notes, procedures, etc.);
  • Coordinate technical exchanges with key stakeholders (design teams, suppliers, client, commissioning teams);
  • Track deliverables, comments, and actions and highlight risks/deviations;
  • Contribute to proposing technical options aligned with project and client requirements.

Within the SCADA team, you will progressively learn project delivery practices and SCADA fundamentals through mentoring and increasing ownership of defined workstreams

 

The profile we’re looking for

  • End-of-studies internship (Bac+5): Master’s/Engineering degree in Electrical, Control/Automation, Power Systems, Industrial IT/IOT engineering;
  • First experience via internships/projects in renewable energy/Energy Storage / automation /monitoring is a plus;
  • Good basics: power systems, controls/automation, Industrial networking;
  • Nice-to-have: SCADA concepts + industrial communication protocols;
  • Proficiency in English

This is an operational position where curiosity, adaptability, a willingness to take on challenges, and initiative are valued.
