Description

You will be a part of Bridgepoint’s Business Development team which is responsible for (i) Bridgepoint’s corporate M&A strategy (identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities) and (ii) the group’s strategic roadmap.

As an Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in corporate strategy, M&A execution and potentially post-merger integration processes while collaborating with senior team members and cross-functional stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

M&A

Origination: identification and assessment of potential targets by (i) taking part to meetings with founders, management teams, industry experts and advisers and(ii) screening and analysing potential acquisition opportunities 
Execution: Valuation, due diligence (including commercial, financial, legal and tax analysis), business plan modelling incl. strategic synergies with the group, deal structuring, preparation of investment memos presentations with strategic recommendations for the group leadership and the board. Liaise with the different internal functions of the group (finance, investor relations, tax, etc.). 
Integration: in the event of a successful acquisition, assist and monitor the post-acquisition integration process within the group. Coordinate with relevant internal functions and prepare regular updates reports
Corporate strategy 

Support the team in defining the group’s medium and long-term strategic priorities (products, resources allocation, geographical diversification, etc.)
Coordinate across functions and services the strategic roadmap implementation
Research and report market intelligence / trends impacting the group’s growth strategy


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, or a related field.
Prior relevant internship experience (M&A, consulting, corporate finance)
Understanding of the alternative asset management sector and a strong interest in investment
Fluent in English and proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Strong knowledge of key corporate finance principles and experience of financial modelling
Eagerness to learn, detail-oriented, curious, collaborative team play mindset, dynamic and autonomy
