We are seeking a Therapist Intern for our Clinic in Colmar, PA.

 

This role is unpaid.

 

Position Details

The therapist intern is a primary member of a treatment team in the clinic's behavioral health program for Merakey. Essential responsibilities include delivering therapy services (individual, couple, and family), intake assessments, group therapy, and coordination of care under the leadership of the clinic director, psychiatrist, and clinical supervisor. The therapist initiates active engagement of clients, promotes retention, and provides therapy to individuals who suffer from mild to severe forms of mental illness.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited master's level program, majoring in a human service-related field, including social work, psychology, or clinical counseling.
  • Candidate must have hours of availability (practicum: minimal 10-12 hours; internship 1 and internship 2: 1minimal 10-15 hours) to ensure direct client hours are attainable.
