At KPMG, you will have the opportunity to help clients, society, and your colleagues tackle and solve the most current and complex challenges. KPMG Advisory offers consulting services to companies to support them in transforming their business model, improving and digitizing processes, analyzing and managing risks, and providing support in extraordinary finance operations. Specifically, by joining the Forensic Team in Milan, you will help clients address integrity and regulatory risks stemming from third-party relationships in a variety of contexts, from compliance and KYC to mergers and acquisitions (M&A). 

We are seeking research analysts to join the team and you will be tasked with:

  • Integrity due diligence and reputational research of third parties, focused on identifying reputational and regulatory risks, their organisational structure and providing analytical and succinct summaries of their relevance to our clients;
  • Asset tracing and source of wealth research aimed at identifying assets and/or verifying the career trajectory/lifestyle of high net worth individuals in the context of asset recovery or AML reviews.

Responsibilities 

The research, retrieval and analysis of public record information are the starting point for the majority of corporate intelligence assignments. The main responsibilities for Research Analysts will include:

  • Conducting desktop-based research using a variety of specialist database resources, covering a wide range of corporate, media, credit and regulatory data across many jurisdictions;
  • Conducting iterative research using a variety of other online and offline public record sources, especially commercial registries and corporate databases in a variety of countries and languages;
  • Combining the above skills to deliver time-critical and relevant reports to clients.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow professionally and tackle stimulating challenges, contributing to projects that help prestigious clients in our network manage complex challenges related to moments of disruption and transformation, thereby ensuring their success.

Come As You Are - Your skills and characteristics

This is the perfect opportunity for you if you have:

  • You have a master’s degree in international relations, politics, law, economics and/or modern languages;
  • Excellent English and Italian communication skills, both written and oral, preferably with study or work experiences abroad; 
  • Knowledge of an additional language that is a plus (Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, German or French);
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet exacting deadlines;
  • Ability to operate in a discreet and confidential manner;
  • Drive and commitment to deliver a high-quality service.
