Over the course of this 10-week internship, you will rapidly become proficient with Antora’s high-temperature test platforms and play a hands-on role in executing, improving, and documenting critical test campaigns.</p> <p>This internship is designed for candidates who want <strong>real ownership and technical impact</strong>. Reliable, high-quality testing is central to accelerating Antora’s Heat-to-Power technology development, and you will be expected to deliver <strong>meaningful improvements</strong> to test procedures, instrumentation, or hardware that benefits future development efforts.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <h5><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities</strong></h5> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Execute multiple <strong>SSHE prototype test campaigns</strong>, including setup, operation, and monitoring of high-temperature test systems<br><br></li> <li>Collect, validate, and deliver <strong>post-test measurement datasets</strong> used in design iteration, performance evaluation, and reliability analysis<br><br></li> <li>Design and implement at least one <strong>hardware, instrumentation, or procedural improvement</strong> to increase test reliability, repeatability, or usability<br><br></li> <li>Troubleshoot test issues involving sensors, thermal systems, mechanical assemblies, controls, or data acquisition<br><br></li> <li>Produce or update <strong>test procedures, safety documentation, and/or controls logic</strong> to reduce friction for future operators<br><br></li> </ul> <h5>&nbsp;</h5> <h5><strong>Key Qualifications</strong></h5> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a <strong>BS, MS, or PhD</strong> in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Energy Systems, or a related field<br><br></li> <li>Strong <strong>hands-on experience</strong> with experimental hardware, tools, fixtures, sensors, or test equipment (academic, research, or industry)<br><br></li> <li>Demonstrated attention to <strong>data quality, repeatability, and experimental rigor</strong><strong><br><br></strong></li> <li>Proven ability to <strong>troubleshoot</strong> mechanical, thermal, electrical, or instrumentation issues<br><br></li> <li>Clear <strong>written and verbal communication skills</strong>, with experience documenting procedures or results<br><br></li> <li>Strong <strong>safety awareness</strong> when working with physical systems, electricity, or elevated temperatures<br><br></li> </ul> <h5>&nbsp;</h5> <h5><strong>Additional Qualifications Desired</strong></h5> <p>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Experience with <strong>high-temperature systems</strong>, thermal testing, furnaces, heaters, or vacuum environments<br><br></li> <li>Familiarity with <strong>data acquisition systems</strong> (e.g., Python-based DAQ, PLCs, or similar)<br><br></li> <li>Experience with <strong>instrumentation</strong> such as thermocouples, pyrometers, pressure sensors, current/voltage measurement, or optical diagnostics<br><br></li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Work Location:</strong>&nbsp; Onsite - Sunnyvale, CA</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Hourly Range:</strong>&nbsp; $35 USD - $45 USD</p> <p>Please note that the hourly range listed for this position reflects Antora Energy's estimated pay rate. The actual rate offered will be determined based on a candidate's experience, year in school, and degree, as they relate to the position's requirements.</p> <p>Additionally, this position does not offer visa sponsorship.
