We offer the opportunity to stretch and explore, and to work on things that matter.</p> <p>We are looking for a motivated and talented individual currently pursuing a Life Sciences degree in a relevant field to join our Biology teams as a co-op or intern for an 8 month term, starting in May 2026. Your day-to-day will be focused on supporting the high-throughput screening workflows for antibody drug discovery. You will work alongside our core lab leadership and project teams to ensure that our laboratory and workflows meet project deliverables and timelines.&nbsp;</p> <p>While in this position, based in beautiful Vancouver, you will receive guidance and supervision from experienced team members within the Biology teams. The internship is designed to offer exposure to real-world projects and the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of antibody-based medicines from target to clinic within Canada.</p> <p><strong>How you might spend your days</strong></p> <ul> <li>Supporting high-throughput screening workflows in collaboration with project teams to meet deliverables and timelines</li> <li>Preparing cell isolates from primary sources</li> <li>Executing cell enrichment protocols</li> <li>Preparing, labelling and aliquoting common lab reagents and bulk media to support scientific workflows</li> <li>Maintaining cell stocks and freezer inventories</li> <li>Collaborating with Lab Management teams to organize, order and maintain common inventories and reagents</li> <li>Performing lab organization and maintenance tasks, such as chemical inventory checks and setting up new instruments</li> <li>Maintaining and implementing standard operating procedures while recognizing and addressing opportunities for improvements&nbsp;</li> <li>Gaining expertise in routine cell screening and high-throughput functional validation procedures and growing your technical skill set</li> </ul> <p><strong>We'd love to hear from you if</strong></p> <ul> <li>You have strong interpersonal skills, thrive in a team setting, and you enjoy working side-by-side with highly motivated teammates in a busy and engaged environment</li> <li>You enjoy bench work and are looking for an opportunity to hone your technical skill set</li> <li>You are currently enrolled in a BSc program in Cell Biology, Immunology, or other relevant Life Science; hands-on experience in a wet lab environment would be preferred</li> <li>You have acquired foundational laboratory skills such as pipetting and aseptic cell culture technique</li> <li>You have hands-on experience with, or a keen interest in learning about, cell culture and cell assessment methods</li> <li>You take pride in being self-motivated, a fast learner, and are willing to take initiative</li> <li>You are excited to learn about the drug discovery and development pipeline, including the early stages of antibody drug discovery&nbsp;</li> <li>You are available to work flexible hours</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we offer</strong></p> <p>AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $3,300 - $3,700 per month, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
