About the role:

As an Energy Storage Mechanical Co-Op, you will work on a variety of projects and gain hands-on experience in the field of mechanical engineering. You will contribute to the development of technical products and systems.

 

You will report to the BOP Mechanical Engineering Manager and be located at our Rock Hill facility. This is a paid full-time hybrid position for the summer.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, and analysis of mechanical systems and components
  • Prepare or update technical documentation, including design specifications, reports, and calculation notes
  • Support ongoing projects develop engineering documentation and scopes of work for procurements and subcontracts
  • Participate in technical presentations and written communications for customers and management
  • Research new technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Project Schedule management
  • Solve technical engineering problems alongside our engineering team
  • Collaborate with the manufacturers or fabricators to ensure quality products to support our systems
  • Participate in design reviews and present technical designs and analysis results to team members

 

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Completed Sophomore year of college
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD
  • Previous internship or project experience in mechanical engineering

 

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The hourly rate for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $22.69 to $27.50 per hour.
