IT Internal Audit & Accounting Intern

Start date intended as soon as possible following an offer acceptance.</span></span></p><p class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Working with the Internal Audit team, you will be involved in a broad theme of topics and responsibilities including (but not limited to):</span></span></p><ul><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Assist the company in achieving continued compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act ("SOX") including participating in scoping, planning, walkthroughs, testing, status reporting, and communicating with external auditors.</span></span></li><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Participating in a wide variety of information technology (IT) internal audits relating to financial and operational applications.</span></span></li><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Participates in gathering and analyzing data through a variety of methods including interviews, financial research, etc.</span></span></li><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Assist in developing and presenting findings and recommendations based on audit work performed to improve internal controls.</span></span></li><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Prepare detailed work papers for each project assigned.</span></span></li><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Assist in drafting Internal Audit reports identifying the scope, issues identified, recommendations and management action plans.</span></span></li><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Interact and communicate with IT owners and upper-level management as needed during internal audit activities.</span></span></li><li class="pf1"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Participate in other internal audit projects as assigned.</span></span></li></ul><p style="direction:ltr;font-family:Arial;line-height:90%;margin-bottom:0pt;margin-left:0in;margin-top:0pt;text-align:left;text-indent:0in;unicode-bidi:embed;word-break:normal;"> </p><p style="font-family:Arial;"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)</strong></span></p><ul><li class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Must be currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Accounting or a Master’s degree in Business Administration.</span></span></li><li class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Strong listening and communication skills.</span></span></li><li class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Intellectual curiosity.</span></span></li><li class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Humility and teamwork; ability to take feedback and coaching and adapt to new challenges.</span></span></li><li class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Strong personal organization and prioritization skills.</span></span></li><li class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Uncompromising ethics and integrity.</span></span></li><li class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills.</span></span></li></ul><p class="pf0"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span class="cf0">The internship period may last up to 12 months for 20-30 hours per week (you will have control of the hours / days you work based on your academic commitments).</span></span></p><p style="font-family:Arial;">Vontier partners with you and your family on your health and wellness journey.
