Known for its dynamic play and passionate fan base, Reign FC has made a significant impact on the soccer landscape since its inception. Reign FC is committed to excellence both on and off the field, fostering a culture of inclusivity, community engagement, and social responsibility. Through various initiatives and partnerships, the club strives to inspire and empower the next generation of soccer players and fans, solidifying its place as a cornerstone of the Seattle sports community.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>POSITION SUMMARY</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>The Seattle Reign FC Performance team is offering an educational internship during Spring, Summer and/or Fall immersion blocks in 2026. &nbsp;This internship offers unique experiences to strengthen learning and engage skillsets within Performance Training. Students will gain invaluable experience in a professional sports setting and an understanding of program design.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Eligible candidates must have at a minimum a Bachelor’s degree and certification from NSCA-CSCS. Ideally students are able to commit for approximately 650 hours and start and end dates will be determined with each intern.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support and Collaboration: Play a crucial role in supporting the performance, science, and nutrition sectors within Seattle Reign FC, aiding all teams within the club.</li> <li>Training Assistance: Assist in the setup and execution of all team training sessions, including GPS tracking, warm-up routines, and on-field conditioning.</li> <li>Session Preparation: Help prepare and conduct team mobility, lifting, and activation sessions.</li> <li>Data Analysis: Support the collection and analysis of GPS, monitoring, and performance testing data.</li> <li>Work Environment: Contribute to a dynamic, ambitious, and enjoyable work atmosphere.</li> <li>Assist with the setup and breakdown of weight room and field equipment.</li> <li>Maintain cleanliness and order of the weight room and its equipment.</li> <li>Support during lifting and field sessions through supervision and demonstration.</li> <li>Participate in Performance Science Innovation and Initiatives.</li> <li>Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of curriculum projects as determined by the Performance Staff.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and certification from NSCA-CSCS.</li> <li>CPR/AED certification is mandatory.</li> <li>This is an unpaid internship. Must be able to receive academic credit towards a credited program.</li> <li>Affiliation agreement must be executed between University and Seattle Reign FC prior to start.</li> <li>Exceptional communication skills to deliver programs effectively and interact professionally with colleagues, players, and coaches.</li> <li>A keen interest in soccer or sports in general.</li> <li>An enthusiastic and proactive approach to tasks.</li> <li>Excellent organization abilities, with a knack for managing workloads, prioritizing tasks, and adhering to deadlines efficiently.</li> <li>Must have a keen eye and attention for detail.</li> <li>Proficiency in computer use and quick to learn new software and processes.</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>WORK ENVIRONMENT&nbsp;</strong></p> <ul> <li>This position will work from our Training Facility in Tukwila, WA and attending meetings and matches as needed.</li> <li>Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.</li> <li>Must be able to facilitate own local travel.</li> <li>Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.</li> <li>Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.</li> <li>Must adhere to the policies of the NWSL as well as any other relevant well-being or child safety policies.</li> <li>Capable of prolonged periods of standing and lifting up to 65 lbs.
