About the Role
  • Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience of trending operations in the markets relating to all aspects of our logistics and supply chain division.

    What you will do:
    •    Assist in the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services.
    •    Support the procurement team in maintaining accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
    •    Help in the preparation and processing of purchase orders and requisitions.
    •    Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
    •    Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
    •    Assist in the management of vendor relationships and performance.
    •    Participate in cost-saving initiatives and process improvement projects.
    •    Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    •    Be the focal point for our internal and external stakeholders.
    •    Actively participate in the international team/status calls.
    •    Conduct data gathering exercises (review supplier transactions and spend).
    •    Track progress through monthly reporting on key performance indicators.
    •    Support in the Vendor Registration Process 
    •    Update all Reps and Certs for Suppliers that have expired/will expire.
    •    Update all overdue Proprietary Information Agreements for Suppliers.

    •    Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    •    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    •    Good communication and interpersonal skills.

    •    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

    •    Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    •    Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

    •    Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

    •    Ability to quickly gather and analyze data, and grasp customer requirements under time constraints in a changing environment.

    •    The ability to effectively manage competing priorities among the different operations, and to bring a cohesive direction to the buying teams.

    •    Presentation skills necessary to professionally represent Micron within the supplier community.

    •    Strong skills in leading and participating in meetings and high-level supplier negotiations.

    •    The ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, interact professionally with a diverse group of managers, and subject matter experts.

    •    Other duties as assigned by Indirect Category team to support department initiatives.
