The Acute Care team provides intervention and support to individuals who are experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.

Responsibility and Learning Opportunities:

  • Conduct supervised crisis assessments and contribute to intervention planning.
  • Provide brief counseling and support to individuals during crisis situations.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Develop skills in risk assessment, crisis management, and effective referral practices.
