Horizons at Brunswick
Horizons at Brunswick is an enrichment program aimed at fostering a love of learning and supporting personal growth in under-resourced boys from Greenwich public schools, from kindergarten through eighth grade. The program runs for six weeks in the summer and continues with six additional Saturdays throughout the school year. The curriculum encompasses a broad range of subjects, including math, language arts, STEAM, swimming, chess, arts, sports, and includes field trips for a comprehensive learning experience. 

Summer College Intern: Academics and Athletics 
Horizon's at Brunswick is seeking nine college interns majoring in Education or related fields to mentor and work with students from kindergarten through 8th grade, who are interested in gaining practical classroom experience.  

In addition, Horizons is seeking two college interns to help support the physical education program. 

 

Program Dates: June 26 through August 7, 2026 (6 weeks) 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Work closely with educators to promote a dynamic and positive classroom atmosphere while sustaining an engaging and effective learning environment. 
  • Assist with classroom administrative tasks as needed. 
  • Additional bus monitoring duties may be assigned with additional pay. 
  • Assist with the program's academic and non-academic activities, including field trips, parent communication, and comment writing. 

Qualifications


  • High School Diploma, currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university. 
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in classroom teaching, student engagement, and educational support. 
  • Brings energy and a team-first mindset to the group. 
  • Friendly and adaptable, eager to gain new insights. 
  • Schedule will be from 8:15am - 3:45pm
