As a Summer Student for our company, you will have an opportunity to work with various animal health professionals in a business, clinical and research environment. Moreover, this is a great way to gain exposure to our Animal Health’s business offerings, providing valuable learning opportunities and exposure for young professionals with an interest in vector-borne disease in companion animal.

Summer Student, Scientific Marketing Affairs – Animal Health – Companion Animal

In this role your project would consist of:

• Participation in a research project in support of understanding vector-borne disease.

• Engagement with our company’s project leader throughout the summer project.

• Entering and analyzing data collected.

• Preparing a report to be presented to our company’s Animal Health and partner and/or a relevant local/provincial association.

Qualifications:

• Interest in vector-borne disease.

• Full-time veterinary student at the Atlantic Vet College in Prince Edward Island (project location Nova Scotia)

• Must be available for summer student mandate from mid-May to mid-August.

• Able to comply with biosecurity protocols and local public health requirements.

• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and cross-functional teams.

• Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.

• Ability to learn and apply new information quickly.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.).

• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written).

• Fluency in French is required.

Required field of study:

• Veterinary Medicine.
