We are seeking an HSE Student, for our project sites located near Nisku, AB, within our Melloy Industrial Services Inc. district that is available for 4 month or 8 months starting in May 2026.

 

As an HSE Student, you will contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update HSE records, including training logs, incident reports, audits, and compliance documents.

• Manage document control systems for HSE procedures, policies, and guidelines.

• Track attendance and maintain training records.

• Prepare HSE reports, presentations, and performance metrics for management review.

• Track health and safety statistics and trends.

Qualifications

Provide general administrative support for HSE initiatives, including data entry and filing. What you will bring to the role:

 

• Must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate program. Preference will be given to those in a Occupational Health and Safety program.

• Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook).

• Organizational and multitasking skills.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

• Ability to plan and employ preventative measures to reduce the risks of exposure to hazards.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong willingness to learn.

 

Working Conditions:

 

• Successful applicants must be able to provide their own CSA approved steel toed boots and be willing to take and pass a Pre-Access Alcohol & Drug Test.

• Shift rotation and overtime may be applicable.

• Our project site is not accessible by public transportation so the successful applicant for that location will need access to a vehicle.
