Along the way, you’ll take on daily tasks that help you see how your team drives success, work with fellow interns on a community impact project, and wrap up the program by sharing your experience with division leadership.</p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary</b></p><p>ITW Global Tire Repair is seeking a <b>Chemist Intern (Spring 2026) </b>to support product development initiatives. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience working alongside our R&D team. This internship offers a great opportunity to build practical lab skills in a collaborative and innovative environment.</p><p></p><p><b>Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Assist with Lab Work:</b> Interface with Chemists to help prepare chemical blends and run basic tests.</li><li><b>Maintain Lab Equipment:</b> Keep lab tools clean, organized, and ready for use.</li><li><b>Record Data:</b> Document test results and observations clearly and accurately.</li><li><b>Support Documentation:</b> Help create and update product test records.</li><li><b>Learn and Grow:</b> Participate in training, ask questions, and learn new lab techniques. Follow all safety rules, use proper PPE, and adhere to chemical handling procedures.</li><li><b>Collaborate with Project Teams:</b> Work with R&D, Quality, and Production teams on assigned tasks.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field, or a graduate student pursuing a Master’s degree in a related discipline.</li><li>Ability to observe, record, and interpret experimental results accurately.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Information</b></p><p>This is a temporary position (Spring 2026) working approximately 15-20 hours per week in our San Luis Obispo, CA office.</p><p></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:left"><b>Compensation Information:</b></p><p>Range is $25 to $30 per hour depending on expertise.
