Supply Chain Intern

This is an on-site position located in Carol Stream, IL.
 

Position Summary: We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to join our organization. In this position, you will learn various aspects of the Procurement and Logistics by supporting current production and new product development projects within the Supply Chain Team. You will interact with Engineering, Finance, Quality, Production, Inventory Control, Shipping and Receiving, and Management in this role.

Essential Role Responsibilities:

● Provide day to day support of raw goods and materials to meet production schedules at the lowest cost using the MRP system.

● Conduct RFQ’s and analyze bids for best cost.

● Work with internal teams to develop new products, providing support in cost analysis, purchasing and BOM structure.

● Learn about Inventory Control and Logistics processes.

● Partners with other department Team Members to support and complete various responsibilities, projects and or tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

Essential Skills & Role Qualifications:

● Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)

● Must be 18 years of age.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Detail oriented self-starter and comfortable taking initiative, as well as capable of producing high quality results on a sustainable basis

Essential Education & Experience:
● Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program with Supply Chain or similar discipline.
● High school interns will be considered based on relevant skills and interests.
