Structural Engineer Intern

Role description:

As a Structural Engineer Intern, you will assist the Structural Engineering team in planning, executing and finalizing our projects in accordance with the agreed deadlines and clients’ requests. 

The team will provide the support needed with both design and control skills and experience for verifying the execution status of projects, within a company where collaboration and team spirit are primary and essential.

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern who can join the resources in Arcadis by providing support in daily operations in a personalized growth path, aimed at deepening the knowledge obtained during studies or previous experiences.
 

Role accountabilities:

• Support for structural design activities using the latest software available (BIM, MIDAS Gen, etc) in each of the different design phases (preliminary, final, executive);
• Analyze and design structures in reinforced concrete, steel, laminated wood structures, CLT;
• Drawing up graphics and structural construction details (reinforced concrete reinforcement, connections of steel elements);
• Interact with the different disciplines in the optic of integrated design;
• Interact and coordinate Arcadis Excellence Center for detailed design;
• Monitoring, verification and review of technical documents and graphics produced by third parties;

Qualifications & Experience:

• A Bachelor or Master's Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering; A previous experience or a a BIM/structural /seismic design thesis will be considered a plus;
• An excellent level of English and Italian (at least B2);
• Technical background to be able to attend and participate in technical meetings;
• Excellent knowledge: BIM Revit Structure, MIDAS Gen, Autocad, Office package
• Good knowledge of technical regulations (NTC 2018, Eurocodes), masonry structures
• Basic knowledge of geotechnics
• Team attitude and willingness to learn from senior colleagues
• Proactive and positive mindset
