About the Role

Job Summary:

  • You will be part of the Advanced Radar Solutions team in San Jose, California building next-gen automotive radar technologies using advanced signal processing and/or AI/ML techniques.
  • Develop and validate prototype algorithms that process data collected from state-of-art imaging radar systems.  
  • Opportunities to apply your signal processing and/or AI/ML knowledge to solve cutting-edge automotive radar challenges such as interference mitigation, MIMO waveform processing, sparse array processing, and high-resolution angle estimation.
  • Opportunities to apply your hands-on problem solving skills with operating and analyzing experimental radar systems and subsystems with lab tests and measurement collection set ups.
  • Summer Internship Term: up to 3 month

Job Qualifications:

  • Hands-on skills
    • Matlab required
    • C/C++ highly preferred
    • Python and ML frameworks like PyTorch and Tensorflow including visualization tools like Tensorboard preferred
    • Ubuntu or any Debian OS preferred
    • Robot Operating System (ROS) preferred
  • Knowledge base
    • Signals, Systems, and Transforms / Analog and Digital Signal Processing
    • Advanced Linear Algebra / Array Signal Processing Theory
    • Probability and Stochastic Modeling / Detection and Estimation Theory
    • Wireless, Radio Location, or Radar systems
    • Machine learning/neural network principles and programing models,
    • Neural network architectures
    • Automotive FMCW radar signal processing techniques
  • Strong communications, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Highly self-motivated and enjoying solving difficult challenges
  • Currently enrolled in or entering a Master's or PhD degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:

$64,480 to $107,500 annually
