About the Role
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Major League Baseball’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide exceptional students interested in a career in sports with a unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the diverse business operations of baseball. Those selected will gain invaluable work experience through challenging project assignments, information sessions hosted by MLB senior management, and various developmental events.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The <strong>Baseball Operations Department</strong> is responsible for overseeing and administering all on-field and rules components of MLB. The Baseball Operations Department consists of several groups, including Amateur, Baseball Economics, Draft Operations, Medical, Minor Leagues, On-Field Operations, Player Programs, Transactions, and Umpiring. Summer interns in the Baseball Operations Department will work primarily in one of the aforementioned groups and will have an opportunity to work on projects relating to:</span></p>

<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Major League transactions</span></li>
<li style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">Minor League transactions and operations</span></li>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><strong>Program Overview:</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">The summer program runs from <span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0);"><strong>June 8<sup>th</sup> to August 7<sup>th</sup>, 2026 </strong></span>and requires a commitment of <strong>9 weeks</strong>. Program will be primarily based out of our New York City office.</span></p>
