About the Role

Position Summary

The Supply Chain Intern will support day-to-day supply chain and operations activities for an industrial equipment supplier serving the automotive industry. This role provides hands-on exposure to procurement, inventory management, logistics coordination, and data analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with purchase order creation, tracking, and follow-up with suppliers
  • Support inventory management activities, including stock analysis and cycle counts
  • Help monitor supplier lead times and delivery performance
  • Assist with logistics coordination, including inbound and outbound shipments
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain accurate records in ERP systems and spreadsheets
  • Support cross-functional teams including sales, operations, and warehouse staff
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Interest in supply chain, manufacturing, or the automotive industry
  • Real-world experience in an industrial and automotive-focused supply chain
  • Exposure to supplier management and operational decision-making
