About the Role

Intervala is looking for a Human Resources Intern!

Job Summary & Essential Functions

Provide support and assistance to the Human Resources department.

  • Assist with all aspects of recruitment including coordinating and scheduling interviews, pre-screening candidates, reviewing resumes and applications, preparing candidate packets, greeting, testing and checking in scheduled candidates
  • Prepare onboarding materials including folders, badges, checklists, etc.
  • Set up new hire profiles in HRIS system (ADP) and send new hire communications
  • Assist with benefits administration and Payroll as needed
  • Maintain files and reports to ensure all information is organized and current
  • Perform general office work such as scanning, filing, faxing, copying and mail distribution; enter data into computer systems; assist others with computer usage for employment purposes
  • Coordinate and track candidate drug screens and background tests

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures
  • High level of confidentiality in handling sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
  • Intermediate level of computer proficiency
  • Problem-solving and prioritization skills
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
  • Able to work with a high level of accuracy in a fast pace work environment 

Required Experience & Education 

  • Currently pursuing or recently obtained an undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Ability to work at least 20 hours per week (between the hours of 8am – 5pm Monday – Friday) if currently in school (40 hours are available to those graduated)
