We invite you to join a passionate group of researchers and engineers in our journey in building the next generation AI infrastructure.</p> <h3><strong>About the Role</strong></h3> <p>As a Security Engineer Intern, you’ll contribute to building open, transparent, and secure AI systems. You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects that safeguard corporate assets by implementing and operating preventative and reactive security controls while collaborating with teams and stakeholders across the company. We’re looking for an intern that is interested in building AI-assisted security apps.&nbsp;</p> <p>This role is on-site at our HQ in San Francisco, California. &nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design and implement enterprise-wide security solutions to support security initiatives</li> <li>Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with a focus on maintainability</li> <li>Collaborate with IT to implement and enforce IAM best practices, policies, and procedures, and lead the implementation</li> <li>Build AI-driven models to enhance security-related tasks, such as data classification and security detection and response</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, earned or expected by Summer 2027</li> <li>Strong programming skills with a proficiency in Python or bash</li> <li>Exposure to building AI assisted applications</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Prior security engineering experience through internships, hackathons, or projects</li> <li>Experience working with authentication and authorization technologies used for workload identities</li> <li>Exposure working with kernel drivers and computer architecture</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Internship Program Details</strong></h3> <p>Our internship program spans over 12 weeks where you’ll have the opportunity to work with industry-leading engineers building a cloud from the ground up and possibly contribute to influential open source projects. Our internship dates are May 18th to August 7th or June 15th to September 4th.&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Compensation</strong></h3> <p>We offer competitive compensation, housing stipends, and other competitive benefits. The estimated US hourly rate for this role is $58/hr. Our hourly rates are determined by location, level and role.
