We invite you to join a passionate group of researchers and engineers in our journey in building the next generation AI infrastructure.</p> <h3><strong>Role Overview</strong></h3> <p>As a Software Engineer Intern, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from designing scalable systems, building product features, to optimizing performance-critical code. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust, user-focused solutions and contribute to our mission of delivering cutting-edge technology.&nbsp;</p> <p>This role is on-site at our HQ in San Francisco, CA and you’ll be placed into one of our engineering teams spanning Machine Learning, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and Inference.&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Design and develop high-quality software across our tech stack from low-level system to customer-facing UIs</li> <li>Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver features and improvements</li> <li>Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with a focus on maintainability</li> <li>Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization</li> <li>Contribute ideas to shape the direction of our products and technical infrastructure</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, earned or expected by Summer 2027</li> <li>Excellent programming skills</li> <li>Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows</li> <li>Ability to solve problems creatively and communicate trade-offs effectively</li> <li>Bonus: Experience with web development, databases, distributed systems, or cloud platforms, OSS contributions.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Internship Program Details</strong></h3> <p>Our summer internship program spans over 12 weeks where you’ll have the opportunity to work with industry-leading engineers building a cloud from the ground up and possibly contribute to influential open source projects. Our internship dates are May 18th to August 7th or June 15th to September 4th.&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Compensation</strong></h3> <p>We offer competitive compensation, housing stipends, and other competitive benefits. The estimated US hourly rate for this role is $58/hr. Our hourly rates are determined by location, level and role.
