We are currently looking for an Automation Intern at our Princeton, NJ office.

The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Join our Compound Management team within Analytical Sciences as an intern and gain invaluable professional experience. Enhance your skills and contribute to real projects that have visibility across the business through a Summer internship. Come discover all we have to offer!

Your key responsibilities

• Perform basic wet chemistry procedures under the guidance of a senior chemist
• Perform dilutions and liquid transfers of a high throughput automated robotic system.
• Perform data analysis using specialized software and MS excel
• Write laboratory notes
• Communicate with global collaborators.
• Participate in a few on-going research projects related to analytical chemistry and Compound Management.
• Present the work to group meeting at the end of internship

You Bring

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or other science field. Experience in working in a research lab preferred
• Skills in using MS excel a plus
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• Live in or around the Princeton area OR have reliable transportation to the office

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.  Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.

At the end of this internship, you will:

Gain experience working in a fast paced automation laboratory that supports research initiatives among our global partners. You will gain experience working with others in a professional setting and expand your network and understanding of the Flavor and Fragrance industry.
