Summer 2026 Internship – NATCHEM Laboratory Intern, Perfumery & Beauty Ingredients

We are currently looking for a NATCHEM Laboratory Intern, at our Lakeland, Florida office.

The 2026 dsm-firmenich Summer Internship Program will run from June 1, 2026 to August 14, 2026.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Your key responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and biological analyses using standard laboratory equipment. (There is the potential you will be working with Soy beans).
• Perform wet chemistry analyses and assist with sample preparation and analysis.
• Organize and label laboratory equipment and files.
• Support upcoming laboratory projects as needed.

What You Bring:

• Currently working on completion of a bachelor’s degree in biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Science related field.
• Must be available to work full-time on-site beginning on June 1, 2026, to August 14, 2026.
• Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•  Strong understanding of mathematical concepts, with the ability to apply them to real-world data.
• Great organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward changing priorities.

The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour.  Compensation will be dependent on factors that include location, education, training, specific skills, and years of experience.

At the end of this internship, you will:

Have proficiency in advanced laboratory techniques, including distillation, HPLC analysis, gas chromatography, and titration, with enhanced organizational and safety laboratory practices compliant with good laboratory practices. ​
