About the Role

Job Overview

We are seeking a New York-based intern to support our Responsible Sourcing team.  This is a paid position.  The ideal candidate will be available 20-25 hours per week. 

This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent grad who is interested in learning more about supply chain sustainability and responsible sourcing.  In this position, a successful intern will learn what it takes to effectively manage client relationships and will develop a comprehensive understanding of brand and retailer responsible sourcing program requirements.      

Responsibilities

  • Customer reporting – assist in the preparation of reports for clients on LRQA performance against improvement plans as necessary and at regular intervals.
  • Program and project support – working with Client Services team, provide ad-hoc support for specific customer initiatives and/or projects.
  • Research and provide updates on industry trends and special topics
  • Attend meetings and take notes
  • Support data entry and update to client program documentation
  • Other tasks as directed by supervisor

Qualifications

  • This is an appropriate internship for a graduate student in a related discipline and/or an undergraduate in their junior or senior year
  • Coursework and/or job experience that demonstrates an interest in sustainability or responsible sourcing.
  • Curiosity and a desire to learn more about brand and retail responsible sourcing and sustainability programs. 
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Creative and entrepreneurial minded
  • Ability to work, learn independently and to thrive in a rapidly changing business environment
  • Ability to work in our midtown office 2-3 days per week
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal English
