About the Role

This opening is valid for those who will be starting the internship between January 2026 to April 2026. If your internship begins in other period of time, please apply to other internship openings in the internship programme tab.

 

WHAT AWAITS YOU IN BANK ISLAM INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME?

1. Opportunity to gain fruitful experience and unique insights into the world of Islamic Banking by closely working and collaborating with subject matter experts in the industry especially related to future roles involving digital skills.

2. Get hands-on experience in the real corporate world with professional guidance from experienced supervisors.

3. Internship allowance of RM1,200 per month for Digital Role.

4. If you excel in the internship, you will be considered for Young Leaders Programme for Digital track once you graduate.

 

WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU

1. We accept both Malaysian and international students too.

2. Currently pursuing a degree in a recognised university that relates to digital roles such as :

  1. Data science
  2. Cybersecurity
  3. UI/UX Design
  4. Software Engineering
  5. DevOps Engineering
  6. Cloud Security Engineering & Cloud Computing
  7. IT Developer / IT Programming
  8. Other digital roles which require the usage of specific advanced tools.

3. Internship period for a duration not less than 8 weeks.

4. Minimum CGPA of 3.00 or equivalent.

5. Self-motivated personnel with good interpersonal skills, a team player who is also active in extra-curricular activities apart from academic excellence.

6. Advisable to state your preferred placement in your resume.

Internship in Bank Islam can be done at Menara Bank Islam (HQ Bank Islam), Jalan Perak only. We do not host internship at our branches due to BNM requirements for not exposing customer data to our interns.
